Jubo Dal activist sued under DSA in Manikganj

A Jubo Dal activist in Manikganj was sued under Digital Security Act allegedly for sharing a video which had “derogatory” remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook.

Md Imran Chowdhury, joint secretary of Muktijoddha Sangsad Santan Command’s Shivalaya upazila unit, filed the case this evening, our Manikganj correspondent reports quoting Shivalaya Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Firoz Kabir.

The plaintiff in the case mentioned that accused Sheikh Manik on April 4 shared the video on his own Facebook account, which defamed the image of the prime minister, the police official added.

The police official also said legal action will be taken against the accused.
